Occurrence data for priority CWR of the SADC region

This dataset was compiled from existing sources with the purpose of planning conservation actions for 110 of the 113 prioritised CWR of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region. No occurrence data was collated for three priority CWR. The data sources included: Maxted et al. (2004) (Vigna); Nur Fatihah et al. (2012)'s (Psophocarpus); Bioversity Collecting Missions database 1.2; GBIF (www.gbif.org); and the 'Adapting Agriculture to Climate Change' project database (version September 2015) (http://www.cwrdiversity.org/checklist/cwr-occurrences.php). The data were merged and standardized using the occurrence data collation template developed in the SADC Crop Wild Relatives project (http://www.cropwildrelatives.org/sadc-cwr-project/). The dataset here published includes a total of 11,092 occurrence records from gene banks, herbaria, field observations and biodiversity databases. It resulted from a data quality assessment using GEOQUAL of the CAPFITOGEN package (http://www.capfitogen.net/) applied to a larger dataset.本数据集由现有数据源汇编所得，旨在为南部非洲发展共同体（Southern African Development Community, SADC）区域内113个优先保护的作物野生近缘种（Crop Wild Relatives, CWR）中的110种制定保护行动规划。针对剩余3种优先CWR，未收集到任何分布记录。本数据集所用数据源包括：Maxted等（2004年）针对豇豆属（Vigna）的研究、Nur Fatihah等（2012年）针对块根豆属（Psophocarpus）的研究、生物多样性国际（Bioversity）采集任务数据库1.2版、全球生物多样性信息设施（Global Biodiversity Information Facility, GBIF，www.gbif.org），以及“适应农业应对气候变化”项目数据库（2015年9月版，http://www.cwrdiversity.org/checklist/cwr-occurrences.php）。所有数据通过南部非洲发展共同体作物野生近缘种项目（http://www.cropwildrelatives.org/sadc-cwr-project/）开发的分布记录汇编模板完成合并与标准化处理。本次发布的数据集共计包含11092条分布记录，数据来源涵盖基因库、标本馆、野外观测记录及各类生物多样性数据库。本数据集源自对更大规模数据集应用CAPFITOGEN工具包（CAPFITOGEN package）中的GEOQUAL模块开展数据质量评估后的成果。
