This paper presents an ontological reinterpretation of Dark Matter (DM) as the zero-energy state of space—the zero string—within the framework of the Dynamic Change of the Universe (DCU/DPS) Theory. Instead of viewing Dark Matter as a new particle, DCU defines it as a fundamental mode of space that carries information but not energy. Using a nonlinear k-essence Lagrangian, the DM field exhibits a dual dynamic: in the early phase, it acts as Early Dark Energy (EDE), while in the late phase, it mimics Cold Dark Matter (CDM), whereby DCU elegantly resolves the H0 and σ8 tensions. Under extreme conditions, the DM field demonstrates incompressibility and kinetic repulsion, avoiding singularities and allowing for a cyclic Bounce without inflation. DCU also redefines black holes as recoherence regions, where matter returns to the DM state, thereby ensuring the conservation of information within the cosmological cycle. Finally, DCU offers testable predictions via void lensing, CMB polarization, and galactic halo structures, positioning itself as an ontologically and physically consistent alternative to the ΛCDM model.
