湖北地处杉木北缘产区,按杉木速生丰产林中长期经营模式,通常表现为中幼林速生而成熟林达不到丰产标准,更难以培育大径材,林地生产力及经营效益偏低。按照速生丰产林“缩短培育周期、提高单位面积产量、定向培育”等基本要义,通过对密度控制、轮伐期控制等关键技术上的重大创新,结合遗传控制、立地控制及地力维持等,构建以小径材为培育目标的高密度超短周期高效培育技术体系。
Hubei Province is located in the northern marginal production area of Chinese fir (Cunninghamia lanceolata). Under the medium-to-long term management model for fast-growing and high-yield Chinese fir plantations, young and middle-aged stands typically exhibit rapid growth, while mature stands fail to meet the high-yield standards, making it even more challenging to cultivate large-diameter timber and resulting in low forestland productivity and management benefits. Following the core principles of fast-growing and high-yield plantations—shortening the cultivation cycle, increasing per-unit area yield, and targeted cultivation—major innovations have been achieved in key technologies including density control and rotation period control. Combined with genetic control, site control and soil fertility maintenance measures, a high-density, ultra-short-cycle efficient cultivation technology system targeting small-diameter timber as the cultivation objective has been established.
