Stool gut microbiota in adolescent rats following early life stress

Male and female Sprague Dawley rats were randomly assigned to a no stress or maternal stress (MS) paradigm that models the adverse childhood experience ofneglect, then further into a sham, mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI), or plantar incision surgery condition as an acute pain trigger (n=6-7/group) in adolescence. Faecal samples were then collected for 16S rRNA sequencing.
