VPRS 4577 General Subject Files: Alphabetical

This series contains files on general subjects created by the Sebastopol Borough. Files include Council functions, annual events, relations with neighbouring Councils and State Government agencies. The exact commencement of this series is unclear although the contents of some files date from the commencement of the municipality.This is one of two inwards correspondence filing systems in operation during at least the period c1930 - c1962. The other, containing correspondence unrelated to these subjects is arranged in a chronological sequence and is registered as VPRS 4578.This series was originally titled General Office Files And Correspondence.
