Gross domestic product (GDP) downscaling: a global gridded dataset consistent with the Shared Socioeconomic Pathways

We updated this global GDP projections based on Version 5 at https://zenodo.org/record/5880037#.Yyx4lsi5fRQ, which makes the following changes: a) the population projections were replaced by: Projecting 1 km-grid population distributions from 2020 to 2100 globally under shared socioeconomic pathways by Wang et al (2022), which implements random forest (RF) algorithm. b) provides GDP projections from 2025 to 2100 at a five-year interval for five SSPs. For more details, please refer to the article: Global gridded GDP data set consistent with the shared socioeconomic pathways that is consistent with Version 5. There are 81 tif files (2005 and 2020 - 2100 at a five-year interval for five SSPs) for each spatial resolution. The gridded GDP are distributed over land with value of zero filled in the Antarctica, oceans and some desert or wilderness areas (non-illuminated and depopulated zones). The spatial extents are 72S - 84N and 180E - 180W in standard WGS84 coordinate system.
