Specifying organic fertilizer composition in process-based models: overview of available data and sensitivity analysis with Biome-BGCMuSo

This dataset describes the composition of animal manure used as organic fertilizer. Each record represents a manure sample and includes information on the animal source, manure type, maturity, dry matter content, and selected chemical properties. The measured parameters include nitrate nitrogen, ammonium nitrogen, organic nitrogen, organic carbon, and cellulose content, mostly expressed in relation to dry matter. Missing values are marked as “NA”. The dataset can be used to compare the nutrient composition of different manure samples and to evaluate their potential contribution to soil fertility, nitrogen supply, and organic matter input.
