Bacillus sp. GZB is a facultative anaerobic bacterial strain isolated from a sludge of electronic waste dismantling workshop. The strain was very much efficient to degrade bisphenol A (BPA) in mineral salt medium as sole source of carbon and energy under both aerobic and anaerobic conditions. To explore further application of the strain to the environmental aspect of decontamination process of various electronic waste pollutants, it is necessary to identify their genome sequence. The draft genome sequence is provided all the relevant information about the strain GZB, which is so effective for further application of decontamination of BPA or other relative pollutants in the environmental prospect.
