Polygonal shapefiles as test dataset for the Central Lena Delta Classification (Landgraf et al. 2025)

This dataset represents a collection of polygonal shapefiles annotated to different land cover classes of the central Lena River Delta as supplment to Lisovski et al. (2025). A new habitat map of the Lena Delta in Arctic Siberia based on field and remote sensing datasets (ESSD). These polygonal shapefiles were delineated on different Sentinel-2 satellite band combinations and using field knowledge from long year joint Russian-German field expeditions to the central Lena River Delta. The covered land cover classes are described in centralLenaDelta_LandCoverHabitatClasses_Description. They are used to test the classification accuracy of the central Lena River Delta land cover map published on PANGAEA: Landgraf et al. (2025) Sentinel-2 derived central Lena Delta land cover classification, https://doi.org/10.1594/PANGAEA945057. An overview map is also provided for orientation.
