Raster AIS Shipping Caribbean Containers 2019 — Density

Raster data set describing the density of trajectory lengths (sum of the distances travelled by all vessels within a unit of area for one year, km/km²/year) calculated from the AIS (Automatic Identification System) positions of the Container Carriers in the Caribbean in 2019. It is produced from AIS (NMEA) raw data covering the Caribbean acquired from Exact Earth for the whole of 2019, as part of the TRAFIC project, supported by the Fondation de France, and carried out within the OHM Littoral-Caraïbe. The data was processed by Damien Le Guyader (https://www.geo4seas.com/).
