This dataset compiles records including sub-project names, administrative codes, regions, total investment, state investment, construction and installation investment, equipment and appliance purchase, total other expenses, and subtotal of manual afforestation expenses (specifically including reclaimed cropland afforestation expenses, aerial seeding afforestation expenses, slash disposal and site rehabilitation expenses, forest enclosure and tending expenses, seedling and seed expenses, and tending expenses) from the statistical data of actual completed investment of shelter forest projects under the statistics of shelter forest project construction task completion. Key shelter forest projects include the Three-North Shelter Forest Program, the Upper and Middle Reaches of the Yangtze River Shelter Forest Program, the Coastal Shelter Forest Program, and afforestation projects in the Taihang Mountains and Pearl River Basin, covering approximately two-thirds of China's land area. This dataset contains descriptive content on the basic overview of key shelter forest project construction, including its scope and content, guiding ideology, key points and layout, and future construction ideas, as well as statistical data on the project achievements as of 2000.
