Gene expression data for keratinocyte grown on different substrates

The study performed whole genome microarray gene expression profiling on primary human keratinoctyes cultured on collagen I, adult dermal fibroblast-derived ECM or foetal dermal fibroblast-derived ECM. Our gene array data showed that primary human keratinocytes grown on foetal dermal ECM upregulated genes involved in cell cycle, whereas on adult dermal ECM, a mix of differentiation and cell cycle genes were upregulated. Primary human keratinocytes were cultured on collagen I, adult dermal fibroblast-derived ECM or foetal dermal fibroblast-derived ECM for RNA extraction and hybridization on Affymetrix microarrays.
