Molecular mechanism for the regulation of the polycomb repressive complex 2.2 (PRC2.2)

This thesis investigates how the PRC2.2 protein complex regulates gene expression during development. It shows that one component, AEBP2, exists in two forms—one that activates PRC2 and one that inhibits it—while another, JARID2, may help guide PRC2.2 to its target sites. A new cloning methodology is also developed, enabling faster production of protein complexes to accelerate future research in this field.
