BHCL (10.2mg, 1.0 eq.) was added to an eppendorf vial and dissolved with D54-DMPC (21.6mg,
4.0eq.) in 1.98ml chloroform and 0.85ml methanol. The solvent was evaporated at 40°C under
a constant stream of argon and the predried sample was freeze-dried over night. 23.15µl degassed
water was added and the Eppendorf was stored at 50°C for one day. Lost water was added and
the sample was mixed with ten freeze-thaw cycles (1min liquid N2 and 3min in 50°C ultra sound
bath). After another day of equilibration the sample was packed in the insert.
