Reconceptualizing Creativity: Prompt Engineering, Meaningful Human Control, and the Illusion of Automation in GenAI

This repository contains the qualitative and quantitative research data supporting the findings reported in the above-titled manuscript. The study investigates how prompt engineering for generative AI (e.g., Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, DALL-E) reconfigures creative processes, professional identities, and core competencies in visual and digital media design. Data were collected between January and April 2025 and analyzed using thematic analysis and comparative content analysis, and analyzed using thematic analysis and comparative content analysis.
