Cecal Microbial Diversity in broilers

This study aimed to investigate the effects of Fructus Sophoraeextracts (SE) on the gut microbiota composition and function using 16S rRNA gene sequencing. The dominant bacterial phyla (e.g., Bacteroidota and Firmicutes) and genera observed in the study were consistent with typical gut microbial profiles. A key finding was that SE supplementation significantly modulated the relative abundance of specific bacteria, enhancing microbial diversity and promoting beneficial taxa.
