Data4Collar: Numerical Simulation Dataset for the Multi-Stage Shear Cutting and Collar Forming Process [Dataset]

Summary The dataset originates from FE-simulations of a two-stage punching-collar forming process in LS-DYNA. It generates measurements and observations that support the design of a fully automated progressive forming tool and enable detailed process analysis. This dataset includes incorporates force–displacement, stress and strain curves from the punching and collar-forming operations and corresponding metadata for 5400 experiments conducted in the simulation. More information can be found in the instruction: Content This dataset (~ 29GB) includes: dynain files with the simulation results and binout files force–displacement curves for 5400 numerical simulations with varied process and material parameters. The selected process and material parameters, along with the corresponding file naming convention, are documented in the file simulation_parameters.xlsx.
