资源简介:
Reported here are detrital sanidine argon geochronology data collected to better understand the early evolution of the Colorado River system. Samples were collect throughout the lower Colorado River corridor from Lake Mead to near Cibola, Arizona. Most samples are of the Bouse Formation but also include the deposits of Hualapai Wash, the Lost Cabin beds, and recent Colorado River deposits. Ar/Ar measurements were collected using a Thermo-Fisher Scientific ARGUS VI multi-collector mass spectrometer at the New Mexico Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources in Socorro, NM. These data were collected as part of efforts to study and map the Lower Colorado River corridor supported by the National Cooperative Geologic Mapping Program of the U.S. Geological Survey.
