Pink salmon otoliths were collected from salmon in the Northeast Pacific Ocean and analyzed for information about age and growth. These data were collected as part of the International Year of the Salmon (IYS) Gulf of Alaska High Seas Expedition conducted in February and March 2019, to further improve the understanding of factors impacting salmon early marine winter survival. Otolith thermal marks were also examined to help determine stock origin.研究人员从北太平洋东北部的粉鲑体内采集耳石（otolith），并对其年龄与生长相关信息进行分析。本次数据采集工作隶属于2019年2月至3月开展的国际鲑鱼年（International Year of the Salmon, IYS）阿拉斯加湾公海考察航次，旨在进一步深化对影响鲑鱼海洋越冬早期存活的各类因素的认知。研究人员同时对耳石的温度标记展开检测，以辅助判别鲑鱼种群的起源。
