Forest functions in Saxony — FFH habitat types, linear

The dataset contains all linearly recorded FFH habitat types (LRT). Flora-faune habitats are the protected areas designated on the basis of the Flora Faune Habitats Directive. Directive 92/43/EEC on the conservation of natural habitats and of wild fauna and flora is a nature protection directive of the European Union (EU). The Directive, together with the Birds Directive, is essentially intended to implement the Berne Convention. One of the main instruments of the Bern Convention is a coherent network of protected areas called Natura 2000. The data is used for the forest function map 1:25,000 of Saxony.
