Grantha Palm Leaf Images

Grantha Palm leaf images are palm leaf images collected from the Oriental Research Institute at the University of Kerala. Grantha characters are characters used in the southern part of India to write the Sanskrit language. The Sanskrit language is the official language in ancient India. Most of the literature and culture work of Ancient India is written in the Sanskrit language. These palm leaf images are rich resources for valuable information regarding a particular time period. This dataset consists of two folders representing palm leaf images from two palm leaflet books:- IsadiUpanishad and Kalaprakasika.格兰塔文棕榈叶手稿图像（Grantha Palm leaf images）采集自喀拉拉邦大学（University of Kerala）下属的东方研究所（Oriental Research Institute）。格兰塔文（Grantha characters）是印度南部地区用于书写梵语（Sanskrit）的文字。梵语为古印度官方语言，绝大多数古印度文学与文化典籍均以梵语撰写。该批棕榈叶手稿图像蕴含特定历史时期的珍贵信息，是极具学术价值的研究资源。本数据集包含两个文件夹，分别收录两部棕榈叶手稿典籍的图像：伊萨迪奥义书（IsadiUpanishad）与卡拉普拉卡西卡（Kalaprakasika）。
