Point-load fragment shape and size of weathered phyllite: dataset and results ledgers
收藏资源简介:
This deposit contains the dataset and derived result tables for a pre-registered study of how wetting and drying weathering changes the shape and size of the rock fragments produced by the point load test on phyllite. Fifty six irregular phyllite lumps from a single outcrop at Asfan, north of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, were subjected to 0, 1, 3, or 5 wetting and drying cycles (14 specimens per group) and failed in the diametral point load configuration. Fragment shape and size indices, the point load strength index Is(50), porosity, and bulk density were measured and analysed under a frozen, seed controlled protocol. Contents. raw_dataset: the specimen level measurements (spreadsheet, tab separated text export, and the OriginPro analysis project). results_ledgers_csv: the analysis result tables and ledgers, including the ANOVA family, effect sizes, uncertainty budgets, equivalence tests, and robustness and stability checks, plus the master results ledger. figure_source_csv: the per figure source tables from which every figure in the manuscript is drawn. tables_csv: the manuscript Tables 1 to 3 and the reference list. Every reported number in the manuscript traces to a row in these tables. This dataset supports the manuscript submitted to Open Geomechanics. Author contributions. Ali Abdullah M. Alzahrani is the first and corresponding author and the idea owner. He led the concept, the experimental design, the acquisition of all instruments and devices, the setting up and programming of the instruments, the statistical analysis, and the writing.
