Attitude to the European Community.

Topics: Personal opinion leadership; frequency of political
discussions; judgement on the general and the economic situation of the
country as well as one´s own financial situation; attitude to the
market economy; judgement on the speed of economic reforms in one´s
country; satisfaction with the development of democracy and the
realization of human rights in the country; most important reasons for
satisfaction with democracy; feeling as a European; knowledge of
selected European and international organizations as well as the
president of the EC Commission; attitude to the EC; attitude to one´s
own country joining the EC; preferred time interval for such a
membership; expected advantages or disadvantages for one´s own country
from EC membership; attitude to agreements and cooperation with the EC;
preference for territorial integrity or self-determination for the
peoples of Yugoslavia; judgement on the EC initiatives to solve the
crisis in Yugoslavia; attitude to EC aid for the Soviet Union;
preference for continued existence of the Soviet Union or division in
independent states; knowledge about the European domestic market 1992;
expected effects of the European domestic market on the relation of
one´s own country to Western Europe; judgement on EC, Soviet Union,

Except in Albania the following questions were also posed: frequency
of use of western media; detailed information on satellite television
programs and radio stations received.

Also encoded was: date of interview; time of start of interview;
length of interview; number of persons present during the interview;
willingness of respondent to cooperate.
