This dataset provides a list of published lithic assemblages from Neolithic sites in the Central Balkans. It includes information on archaeological sites, geographical location, cultural and chronological attribution, excavated area, assemblage size, and relevant bibliographic references. The dataset comprises forty Starčevo and twenty-two Vinča assemblages and is based on data previously compiled in Jovanović and Vander Linden 2026, Tables 2 and 3. It accompanies the paper: Jovanović, I. 2026. Review of Social Complexity in the Neolithic of the Central Balkans: A Lithic Perspective, Istraživanja – Journal of Historical Research, 37 (forthcoming).
