This dataset dynamically analyzes Global Forecast System (GFS) forecasts, processes and generates forecasted rainfall volumes for various future time periods in Yuyao City, providing support for government flood prevention efforts and public travel arrangements. In emergency scenarios such as typhoons and heavy rainstorms, it aids managers in analysis, judgment and decision-making, enabling timely release and implementation of relevant measures to mitigate disaster losses. Taking the latest numerical forecast products of the Global Forecast System (GFS) as input data, the dataset converts the products into grid-based rainfall data via numerical interpretation, performs topological analysis based on the vector layer of Yuyao City’s administrative boundaries, dynamically acquires grid point information within the boundary, and generates hourly forecasted areal rainfall volumes for different time spans within the next 72 hours across the region.
