This study investigates potential fire-induced changes in gene expression through metatranscriptomic analyses. The dataset contains 20 humic samples from sites 3, 4, and 5 at the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta, Alaska. Library preparation was carried out with Kapa HyperPrep RNA with Ribodepletion (Roche Sequencing Solutions, Pleasanton, CA), followed by sequencing on an Illumina NovaSeq 6000 (Illumina, San Diego, CA) with 250 bp paired end.
