Metabolites are important biomarkers of disease progression that change with age. Saliva is an ideal sample type for analyses of oral health and disease and can be collected in a non-invasive manner. While studies of the role of metabolites in the field of dentistry are in their infancy. This study focused on salivary microbiome datasets from individuals with dental fluorosis.
