Dataset of endogenized phage genes in Klebsiella pneumoniae

This work presents the set of endogenized phage genes in Klebsiella pneumoniae. Original data for the dataset was derived from annotated genome file of the microbe downloaded from GenBank, which was parsed and searched by an in-house MATLAB genome analysis software. The dataset comprises gene name, gene function, and gene sequence of each endogenized phage gene in the microbe. Overall, the data should serve as useful starter for initiating understanding of why particular phage genes remain endogenized in the host genome, and deciphering how evolutionary forces and host transposase has reshaped endogenized phage genes.本研究构建了肺炎克雷伯菌（Klebsiella pneumoniae）内源性噬菌体基因（endogenized phage genes）数据集。该数据集的原始数据来源于从基因银行（GenBank）下载的该微生物的注释基因组文件，并通过自研MATLAB基因组分析软件完成解析与检索。数据集涵盖该菌株中每一条内源性噬菌体基因的基因名称、基因功能与基因序列。总体而言，本数据集可为理解特定噬菌体基因何以稳定保留于宿主基因组中，以及解析进化压力与宿主转座酶如何重塑内源性噬菌体基因提供有益的研究起点。
