Time series of age composition for terminal run size of wild Skagit River steelhead

This dataset contains annual estimates of age composition for terminal abundance of wild Skagit River steelhead for return years 1978 - 2018. Age composition was estimated simply by collecting scale samples from wild steelhead encountered in terminal area fisheries. The total age of each scale was estimated by identifying the number of years spent in freshwater prior to smolt outmigration, and the total number of years spent in the marine environment prior to returning to spawn. Additionally, the total number of repeat spawning events (if any) were estimated for each fish sampled. <br>
