Colorectal cancer is a common cancer worldwide and Vietnam. According to Globocan 2020, CRC is the third leading cause of death in women and the fourth cancer-mortality in men in Vietnam. In this project, we attempt to identify specific alterations in the gut microbiota associated with CRC in Vietnamese patients. This will be key for designing future cancer diagnostics and treatment strategies for CRC targeting the microbiota in Vietnam.
