Report: “Environmental Monitoring Kronos Titan — Monitoring (2008)”

Since 1969, wastewater from TiO2 production has been discharged into the Weser fatigue at the height of Bremerhaven. Zoobenthos studies have been carried out at permanent stations above and below the discharge site since 1975 to monitor the ecological effects. Since 1985, sediment and zoobenthos samples have been investigated for possible enrichment with metals. For vegetation samples, these analyses were carried out from 1985 to 2005. The results of the 2008 permanent investigations are summarised in this report.”
