Examples for recording enzyme activity data based on a liquid screening assay: ActinoData project

This dataset consists of three Excel sheets, each containing different tabs focused on aspects required for making enzyme data more machine readable for further visualization. The tabs include information on the ‘molecule’ (substrates such as 2,4-dichlorophenol, 2,6-dimethoxyphenol, L-DOPA), ‘biocatalyst’ (enzyme; in this instance the supernatant fluid from actinomycete cultures), ‘reaction’ (conditions under which the reaction took place and how raw data was captured), ‘raw_data’ (absorbance readings obtained over a 5 minute period, activity calculated, and whether a strain should be selected for further optimization), and ‘activity’ (a quick indicator of ‘true’ or ‘false’ as to whether a strain should be selected).Actinomycete_screening_2,4-DCP: Data generated from screening for peroxidase activity when using 2,4-dichlorophenol as a substrateActinomycete_screening_2,6-DMP: Data generated from screening for laccase activity when using 2,6-dimethoxyphenol as a substrateActinomycete_screening_L-DOPA: Data generated from screening for tyrosinase activity when using L-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine as a substrate
