Demographic study of Boechera stricta

We evaluated vital rates as functions of continuous climate drivers to quantify the climatic niche, assessing the degree of adaptational lag within each garden using a provenance trial experiment, quantifying the genetic variance in the climatic niche within and among populations, and examining the spatial extent of migration that would be needed to stabilize populations under climate change. Furthermore, we used genomic sequence data to quantify gene flow rates. Finally, we evaluated the extent to which eco-evolutionary processes influence forecasted ranges by contrasting our demographic models against species distribution models we constructed for B. stricta.
