INFLUENCE OF PRENATAL EXPOSURE TO COVID-19 ON VERTEBRAL GROWTH AND ANTHROPOMETRIC INDICATORS IN EARLY CHILDHOOD

The present study provides a comprehensive analysis of the potential effects of prenatal exposure to COVID-19 on vertebral growth and anthropometric development in early childhood. The paper reviews current evidence on the pathophysiological mechanisms associated with maternal SARS-CoV-2 infection and their possible impact on fetal musculoskeletal development. Special attention is given to indirect anthropometric indicators reflecting spinal growth. The findings highlight the necessity of early identification of at-risk children and the development of preventive strategies.
