Two of the most critical approaches for producing medical radioisotopes are charged-particle nuclear reactions driven by accelerators and neutron nuclear reactions in nuclear reactors. The charged-particle nuclear reaction excitation function library is one of the essential nuclear databases required for applications of these production methods. This library includes evaluated cross-sections and thick-target yields for 48 reactions induced by light charged particles with incident energies up to tens of millions of electron volts (up to a maximum of 100 million electron volts). Production cross-sections and thick-target yields for most clinically important diagnostic radioisotopes are provided, including 16 reactions dedicated to the production of gamma-ray emitters and 10 reactions dedicated to the production of positron emitters. Additionally, cross-sections for 22 beam monitor reactions induced by protons, deuterons, tritons, helium-3 nuclei, and alpha particles are also provided.
