Social Support and Physical and Mental Health

The data in this paper are from the newly published 2020 China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS). This data is a public database, all users can in the Centre for Social Research and Studies of Peking University's official website (https://charls.charlsdata.com/pages/data) to apply for and obtain. The database aims to collect a set of high-quality micro-data representing households and individuals aged 45 and above in China to analyze the problem of population aging in China and promote interdisciplinary research on aging. The CHARLS national baseline survey was conducted in 2011, covering 150 county-level units, 450 village-level units, and 17,000 people in about 10,000 households.
