We provide a dataset of simulated suspended sediment discharge and sediment deposition for three reservoir cascades. The results were achieved using the MGB-SED model calibrated and validated for the Tocantis-Araguaia, São Francisco and Paranapanema watersheds. We did simulations between 1980 and 2019 using the characteristics of each reservoir and explicit equations to compute daily sediment deposition. In this dataset, we provide:
- .xlsx file named " Reservoir_Data" with the reservoir trap efficiency (%) for each deposition approach we tested; the reservoir characteristics (e.g. lat, lon, volume, average deposition); and annual sediment deposition for each reservoir .
- .rar file named "Shapefiles" with shapefiles named "Tocantins_Araguaia_Rivers.shp", "Sao_Francisco_Rivers.shp" and "Paranapanema_Rivers.shp" with the unit catchment codes that can be used to identify the river reach related to the simulated sediment series.
- NetCDF file named 'QSS_TO.nc' with daily suspended sediment discharge (t/day) for all (1721) simulated river reaches in the Tocantins-Araguaia River Basin, from 1980-2019 .
- NetCDF file named 'QSS_SF.nc' with daily suspended sediment discharge (t/day) for all (1150) simulated river reaches in the São Francisco River Basin, from 1980-2019 .
- NetCDF file named 'QSS_PA.nc' with daily suspended sediment discharge (t/day) for all (224) simulated river reaches in the Paranapanema River Basin, from 1980-2019 .
