Slovenian Public Opinion 1992/2

The first chapter of the questionnaire is the Slovenian translation of the international questionnaire ISSP92. It starts with assessments of the factors of progression in life. There are views on social differences, when they are justified, or need to be reduced. The Respondents assess what the actual income of the chosen Employees is and what would be justified. They assess different forms of taxation, government intervention in balancing inequalities. There is a self-assessment of one’s own social situation and data on social origin and social mobility. The social prestige of individual professions is assessed. The second part repeats the study of the New Democracies Barometer (NDB). This includes a block of questions on the assessment of individual economic power, purchasing intentions, sources of earnings, livelihoods and general assessment of the economic situation in the country, as well as the material situation of the household. This is followed by assessments of political situations and problems, the potential for protest and the likelihood of conflict erupting.
