Sequencing the facilities used to assemble test and launch the OSIRIS-REx spacecraft

We characterized DNA from the marker genes of the bacteria, archaea and fungi present on witness coupons present in different clean room facilities used to assemble test and launch the OSIRIS-REx spacecraft. The goal was to describe the microbial ecology of aerospace clean rooms and characterize potential contaminants on the spacecraft.
