Colletotrichum fioriniae Transcriptome infecting 'Jersey' Blueberry fruit

This study aimed to evaluate the infection process of the fungus Colletotrichum fioriniae on the susceptible cultivar of blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum) fruit 'Jersey'. Ripe blueberry fruits from the cultivar Jersey were inoculated with C. fioriniae and placed in sterilized humidity chambers at room temperature for up to two weeks (14 days). This study samples the inoculated fruits at 1 hour post inoculation (hpi), then 12, 24, 48, 72, 96, 120, 168 hpi, and then 14 days post inoculation. Three replicates from three separate inoculated fruits were sampled at each time point. Paired end sequencing was performed on the Illumina Hi-Seq 4000 machinery.
