16S amplicon sequencing data from peritoneal dialysis fluid samples

The goal of this study was to compare 16S amplicon next generation sequencing (NGS) technologies with conventional culture-based assays regarding the detection of pathogenic bacteria in samples from peritoneal dialysis patients. This study is relevant in the assessment of NGS technologies as diagnostic tools in the clinical setting.
