Speech and voice production in healthy older adults with or without amateur singing experience

The aim of the study was to examine different components of speech production in younger and older adults with or without amateur singing experience using a battery of tests that included a voice production tasks, a standardized passage reading and a maximal performance task (diadochokinetic rates task [DDK]). Data were collected on 38 healthy amateur singers (aged 20–87 years, 23 females) and 40 healthy non-musician controls (aged 23–88 years, 19 females). This dataset contains the aggregated datasets that were used for group-level statistical analysis.本研究旨在通过包含语音产生任务、标准化段落朗读任务以及最大表现任务（轮替运动速率任务，diadochokinetic rates task，DDK）的成套测试，考察有无业余歌唱经历的青年与老年群体的言语生成各组成维度。本研究共纳入38名健康业余歌唱者（年龄20~87岁，女性23名）及40名健康非音乐人对照（年龄23~88岁，女性19名）。本数据集包含用于组水平统计分析的聚合数据集。
