)Corruption is a scourge that threatens social stability and economic growth, and the abuse of political power for personal gain is completely unfair to the honest or the poor. This was stated in the initiative of the United Nations (United Against Corruption), which became effective in December 2005. * The report entitled (Corruption Perception Index) provides reliable estimates of corruption levels in (250) countries. It reveals huge differences between countries in this area, as we find more corruption in poor countries compared to rich developed countries. In addition, some countries have standards for government integrity that have developed over time (including Australia and New Zealand, which are at the top of the integrity list), while other countries have declined from their previous positions (such as the United States of America, Japan and the major countries of the European Union), and illicit gain is widespread in most third world countries.
