Clinical case of pulmonary infection caused by Mycobacterium kiyosense

This study reports the whole-genome sequencing of a rare nontuberculous mycobacterium, Mycobacterium kiyosense, isolated from a clinical case of pulmonary infection. The project aims to confirm species identification using average nucleotide identity (ANI) analysis and to provide high-quality genomic data for taxonomic and epidemiological reference. These data will be valuable for improving the recognition of rare pathogens, supporting clinical microbiology, and contributing to public genomic resources.
