Jejunal Transcriptome Profiling Uncovers Genetic Mechanisms of Feed Efficiency in Iranian Native Turkeys

This dataset contains the processed and analyzed RNA-Seq data from a study on feed efficiency in indigenous Iranian turkeys (Meleagris gallopavo). Due to the nature of these indigenous genetic resources and associated confidentiality agreements with the funding body (Iran Biotech Fund, grant number 13829), the raw sequencing reads are not publicly available. However, this repository provides essential materials for reproducibility and understanding of the findings published in our associated manuscript. Contents of this dataset include: Differentially Expressed Genes (DEGs) List: Comprehensive tables detailing gene IDs, log2 fold changes (LogFC), p-values, and False Discovery Rates (FDR). These tables were derived from the RNA-Seq analysis and form the basis for identifying statistically significant gene expression changes.Quality Control (QC) Data: Tables summarizing the quality control metrics performed during the RNA-Seq data analysis pipeline. This includes key statistics related to sequencing quality, read mapping, and overall data integrity.Gene Set Enrichment Analysis (GSEA) Input Data: The processed data tables specifically formatted and used for running GSEA, which allowed for the identification of enriched biological pathways.Gene Ontology (GO) and KEGG Pathway Enrichment Analysis Results: Full results from the GO and KEGG pathway enrichment analyses, identifying significant biological processes, molecular functions, cellular components, and metabolic pathways related to the differentially expressed genes.This dataset enables researchers to explore our key findings, re-analyze processed data, and replicate the analytical workflow, thereby contributing to the understanding of genetic factors influencing feed efficiency in poultry.
