Apartment and residential status. Settlement structure and social structure context of the apartment and its evaluation. Economic background. Mobility. Changes in the residential area. Topics: Respondent or household member has a second dwelling: ownership of a secondary dwelling; place of interview is the main dwelling; further residential locations; purpose of the secondary dwelling; own frequency of use of the secondary dwelling; removal of the secondary dwelling from the main dwelling; means of transport used and duration of the journey between main and side flat. Place of residence: city size; living outside or within the city centre; inner-city location; year of moving to the place; satisfaction with the place of residence (Scalometer); year of housing move-in; place of residence before moving in and its size; residential status in the last and current dwelling; reason for relocation; insufficient size (costs, equipment) of the former dwelling. Rental costs: rental costs of the dwelling; heating and hot water costs included in the rent; amount of the monthly incidental expenses; cycle and amount of these costs; annual amount for heating costs; annual amount for heating costs and hot water costs; ancillary costs in the cold, apportionable rent includes modernization allowance; monthly costs of a car parking space; assessment of the rental costs; purchase of transfer payments (housing benefit, etc.); amount of the housing benefit. Home ownership: type of ownership acquisition; utilisation of government aid. Housing equipment: size of apartment in m²; number of living spaces; assessment of the apartment size; equipment with kitchen, guest toilet, ground-level shower, holding and supporting handles in the sanitary area, insulated windows, balcony/terrace, garden, garage/parking space, other standards (heating, etc.); assessment of the equipment with regard to personal needs; suitability of the flat for elderly people; household members with restricted mobility; removal required for own perceived restricted mobility. Type of building: construction period; type of building; floor of entrance to apartment; disabled access (accessibility); condition of the building. Satisfaction (scalometer): with the dwelling, with the immediate living environment and environmental conditions. Residential area and social structure: description of the residential environment as well as the residential area; structure of the residential area; subjectively perceived population composition in the residential area. Perception of the coexistence of Germans and foreigners: relationship between Germans and foreigners in the residential environment; preference for separating the neighborhoods of Germans and foreigners; German citizenship; contact with foreigners or contact with Germans. Moving mobility: intention to move; motives for moving; moving to another location place and to another federal state; mention of the preferred state or state in the case of relocation; relocation preference city or country; preferred place of residence in a large city; preference for old building or new building quarter; things that respondents would miss when moving. Economic situation: assessment of one´s own economic situation; change in the economic situation in relation to the past and future; current employment status; job security; reconciliation of family and working life; distance from work in km; means of transport used and length of journey to and from work; driving licence ownership; number of cars in the household; life satisfaction (scalometer). Demography: sex; age in years; marital status; household composition; employment status; occupation (full-time/part-time); professional position; school-leaving certificate; professional or university education; household size; number of income earners in the household; household net income; persons who are not gainfully employed in the household. Additionally coded was: employment status of household members.
