Results of relevant examinations and laboratory tests of asthma patients treated at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University

A total of 150 patients with asthma and 50 age- and sex-matched healthy control subjects were enrolled in this study. Asthma was diagnosed according to the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) 2023 guidelines. Healthy controls were defined as individuals with no history of asthma, allergic diseases, or other chronic respiratory conditions, and with normal lung function confirmed by spirometry. All asthma patients were recruited from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University between January 2024 and January 2025.
