资源简介:
The golden-mantled ground squirrel (Callospermophilus lateralis) is a ground squirrel native to western North America. It is distributed in the Rocky Mountains of British Columbia and Alberta, and through much of the western United States (from Wikipedia entry). This sample of a male individual from Rustic, Colorado was collected by Gregory Florant and coordinated by Luke Olsen and Paul Cohen at the Rockefeller University to generate a high-quality reference genome for a adipose physiology project and to be contributed to the Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP). Sequencing and genome assembly were conducted at the Vertebrate Genome Lab (VGL) at the Rockefeller University, led by Erich D. Jarvis, Giulio Formenti, and Jennifer Balacco.
