Archaeological excavations - Department of Calvados

Survey of the rights of way of archaeological operations (surveys, excavations) in the Department of Calvados. **Collection context** Since 1982, the year of its creation, the Archaeology Service of the Department of Calvados produces vector data from the digitization of archaeological rights-of-way, based on the plan of preventive, programmed and thematic archaeological excavations. **Collection method** The Archaeology Department, associated with the geographical information pole of the Department of Calvados, carried out the georeferencing on the ground of the rights-of-way of archaeology operations from the digitalized cadastral matrix and then integrated them into its geographic information system - GIS. The plans of the intervention prescriptions, mass plans, prior to 2000, have been digitized and georeferenced by the Archaeology Service.
