Nonverbal Syntax Framework: Data, Code, and Dictionaries for Mapping Behavioral Cues to Learner States

Data, code, and normalization dictionaries underlying the Nonverbal Syntax Framework, an evidence-calibrated system for mapping observable nonverbal cues to learners' cognitive and affective states. The framework is built on a systematic literature review of 908 empirical studies (1966-2025) yielding 17,043 cue-state mappings, consolidated into a four-level resource: a Cue Vocabulary of 6,434 normalized cues across nine behavioral channels; State Clusters linking 2,010 canonical states to their indicative cues; State Profiles giving multimodal behavioral signatures; and a Discriminative Analysis of 1,215 confusable state pairs. A dual-evidence assessment separates Component Evidence (how well-studied individual cues and states are) from Relationship Evidence (how well-replicated each specific cue-state link is), yielding 480 actionable relationships supported by three or more independent studies. The deposit includes the consolidated Excel workbook, the four-level data structures in JSON and CSV form, the state and cue normalization dictionaries, and the full Python analysis pipeline.
